The 6 OWL War Pattern Concept

I have been seeing a lot of confusion lately over the 6 Owl War Pattern theory so I have decided to explain it in detail.

In the current ranked season, there is one major problem that will make or break the match - debuffs. Almost every opponent under 500 has the God of Earth team (GGOE Leader, RGOE, BGOE, and Green Drag man). RGOE and BGOE both have nasty debuffs.


RES is basically what helps protect you from debuffs. Bottom line - With 100 RES you have a very good chance of avoiding a debuff, however, the enemy HITS is also calculated into the formula. So, the concept behind 6 OWL is as follows.


Each set of 2 gives the entire team, including itself 10% RES. 3 sets of 2 is 30%. If your entire team has 6 OWL, it would be 30% * 4, which is 120%. Now that's great and all but just like some other stats, (CR, HITS, and RES) anything over 100 is useless (100 = 100%, but again, this is just 1 part of the formula.


While I personally would not go over 100, this is solely my opinion). If you want to go with the 6 OWL theory, here is my recommendation.


My recommendation: Get 80% RES. That means you need 8 sets of 2 over all 4 partners. You can get additional RES which easily add up to over 90 from substats. Here is an example of what 16 OWL looks like.
